The grandiose office doors flung open as China pushed his way out. The first assault upon his eyes was the giant eagle that greeted him outside the doors. It further reminded him of being way too far from home by the banner that was held obnoxiously below it. The red fabric with the stolen symbol rolled all the way to the floor, just in case anyone was to forget it was there. Right now, Yao couldn’t forget if he wanted to. Every time he turned around there was something reminding him of this wretched place. All he wanted to do was get out of here and Germany probably didn’t want to accommodate him after that meeting.
The German made him furious. He talked down to him like he was lesser than him; like he wasn’t part of the reason Germany was so successful right now. Ludwig had given him credit for nothing, even though he had been taking from him this entire time. It was true, that it has lightened since Japan got involved, but before that Germany was being just as bad as the rest of them. What did he expect to happen? Did he think he would continue with this ridiculous democracy when it wasn’t working for him? The only ones it was working for was everyone he was taking “advice” from.
In his blind fury, he turned the corner out of the room and stormed forward. Without paying attention he’d slammed right into something and knocked himself backward. A few hairs dropped from his pin and his clothing had shuffled up a little. He didn’t know that Germany was now putting walls in the middle of hallways, but anything was possible for him at this point. He pulled the strand back behind his ear and tried to push it back into the form of his pin. He’d have to fix it later. Looking up, he saw that he hadn’t run into a wall at all, but it had felt like a wall. Is this how weak he’d become? The thought disturbed him as he rose up his gaze to meet the strange boy’s eyes.
Like red flame, they stood out among his pale skin and stark white hair. The other German. For being of such preciously held German decent, he certainly didn’t look like one. “Move Jaiman!” He snapped irritated already and went to move around him. He’d already stared too long at the differences between the two German’s and wanted to now vacate the building before he had a chance to dwell on it for much longer. He must have looked like a mess and now he was certain that the brother would be the next to know about what Ludwig had found on his arm.
Many missed that there was a different being a ruler and the second in command of an empire, power was not simply unbalanced in some cases. Kept in power by Ludwig it seemed that were no more reason to place the Prussian in a seat of power but to keep him close. Since the Reich claimed command over Europe Gilbert served only to keep the elder from fading as his land had been given up to help form what became Germany. No more did the eagles fly on flags to represent him, they were symbols of the growing power that was Ludwig he simply lived under any flag that his younger brother flew. Even with being consulted about matters of the empire there were times Gilbert couldn’t help but feel this was intended to make the Prussian feel like a valid part of the empire but he couldn’t help feel his brother could decide these matters without seeking his advice.
Some might accuse Gilbert of being hungry for the power he once held as he used tactics to convince all the Germanic states to unite under a single flag. This was far from the truth, enough time was spent in the spotlight and now he wished to aid his brother in any ambition that may rise.
Word spread quick to the albino when any nation were to visit for meetings with his brother, meetings that it seemed were never intended for him to attend. Relations were not something that Gilbert felt should be left to his brother alone; Ludwig was not a being that seeping warmth but more one that seemed to forget the importance of simple smile with allies. Meeting with land claimed by the German or one of his allies seemed to have a worse result than the cold meetings with allies. Boredom often was hard to ignore for the Prussian as he was left with a fit of sneezes trying to wait for the doors to impact with the walls as the nation left displeased with the private discussion. Fury wasn’t that uncommon and even less surprising when it was Yao storming from the office. Moving to try calming the Asian man there was only enough time for the parting of his lips before the small man collided with his chest causing him to stumble. Blinking several times it seemed only to make his usual eyes stand out more as white lashes added to an already strong contrast. Having donned his black uniform those piercing eyes seemed to be the only color on the Prussian.
“German? Prussian and German aren’t the same, old age does affect memory so can’t blame you for being mistaken.” Raising one of his brows he looked down at Yao and his lips curled up in a smirk knowing he could rile the man even more. “You’re the one vho ran into me. It is okay, Japanese are known for being short and looking up must be tiring on your neck.” Circling the dark haired male his hands moved to shoulders massaging them a bit as though he was attempting to cover his teasing and make it appear an honest mistake. Lifting a hand he swept lose hair back behind Yao’s ear making sure to brush the tips of his fingers tips along the small male’s jaw.
