Tokyo, Japan.... 1945
Crippling Lovino was a mistake...
Ever since that incident had happened, the younger Italian's life was only made harder. Mussolini didn't seem to be too happy with the news, that half of the nation he controlled was crippled, if Italy was this divided how could they carry out more ambitious Italian plans? Feliciano had been juggling the work of a nation which was always tiring and helping Lovino and Lucia with day to day life. Life was made only harder when Lovino and Feliciano had been invited by Japan for a meeting, of course he could not reject such an invite from one of his allies, he was very sure that Kiku would not approve of such an action. So of course, Feliciano was glad to go.... Sadly Kiku decided to also invite Lovino as well. Feliciano respected his Japanese friend, yet he couldn't help feel that this was quite a silly move.
The plane trip to Japan was quite awkward, getting Lovino into the plane was a challenging task accompanied with swearing and shouting from the two of them, however eventually they were both able to enter the aircraft and suffer on their long journey to the Empire of the Rising Sun. Who knew what great things would occur during their visit to Japan? It was a long since Feliciano or Lovino for that matter had been to Asia, it would be good to see how the continent was progressing now under Japanese control. However, before any of this could happen, the brothers had to endure suffering before they could even get to a nation on the other side of the world.
Twelve hours. Luckily Feliciano had been able to occupy himself with paperwork that was done within one and a half hours, before having a quiet and blissful sleep. The younger Italian couldn't say whether Lovino was quite happy with the long flight, but what could one do? it was faster than going by ship, that was for sure, though it most likely would have been far more comfortable than having to sit on a chair for 12 hours...
Thankfully the nightmare had finally ended, the plane landed on the runway safely in Tokyo. The two brother's after a few minutes had passed exited from the plane, Feliciano wheeled Lovino toward the group of Japanese officials ahead. Feliciano didn't know how Lovino would react to meeting with Kiku, but in any case he decided that it would be a good opportunity to remind Lovino to be... Civil, before they met the Asian man.

Never before in his life did Lovino feel so helpless to his own brother of all other people.
Feliciano pretty much led his life at this point; from when he could eat seeing the plates and many of the food were above and out of his reach, to when he could get out of bed in the morning from needing help to get in his wheelchair from the mattress. He had freedom to move around the house where no barricades were in place, but the moment a step or something stood in the way of his wheels, Lovino found himself locked in place unable to move. Several times he had to tell Lucia to pick up her toys so he could simply maneuver around his own house already, and narrow paths of a hallway were hell to get through if something got in a way of his path, especially when it was at night and he wanted to just get to one room from another. He couldn't wait until his legs would recover enough nerve to let him get back to walking; the gunshot wounds did some great damage and the stomping that occurred on them right after definitely did not help his recovery come any easier afterward. At the very least, the elder brother was grateful that the cracked ribs of his seemed to recover somewhat faster than expected. They still bruised, but it wasn't nearly as bad as his legs.
The invitation from Kiku to a meeting between the Japanese male and the Italian brothers came out of the blue. Lovino didn't expect his brother's ally to be the one to also invite him as well, and it seemed for Feliciano as well, this came to as a surprise. The Southern counterpart didn't miss the confusion and annoyance that flashed on his brother's face when he announced they were both going, it was when Lovino was in the middle of drying Lucia's hair after her bath. It was only after he gave a hesitant nod in response did Feliciano turn away and, Lovino assumed, began preparing for their flight for the island nation. The Asian empire ruler didn't seem to realize just how unnecessary it was for Lovino to join the said meeting; he had no say in anything that would be discussed. Regardless, a job was a job. He had no choice in the matter.
After finding someone to watch Lucia in the brothers' absence, Feliciano and Lovino set out to board the plane to their journey to the Asian island. The boarding of the plane was hell enough for them, seeing they couldn't seem to stop arguing over everything and anything, but what caused Lovino's irritation to grow even further was their plane arrangement. While Feliciano found himself comfortably sitting in the cushioned seat of the plane, Lovino more or less was bound to his chair. The seatbelt on his wheelchair assured he had no way of falling out the said seat, and with the locks firmly put in place, there was no need to worry for the wheels to send him sliding back and forth between the flight during the departure and landing. The elder brother, as a result of such facts and for the sake of his brother's convenience of not having to help him move from his wheelchair to the plane's seat, had to spend the whole ride sitting upward in his mobile chair. Whilst Feliciano kept himself busy with paperwork during the ride, Lovino was just sitting in pure boredom, just fighting the pressure in his ears seeing he couldn't get himself to pop them as quickly or as well as his brother managed to do so in the very beginning. And while the younger sibling was able to tilt the chair back in the slightest for his rest, Lovino was provided no such comfort.
So needless to say by the time they finally reached Japan, Lovino ached especially in his lower back and was grumpy as hell. He was silent as he was wheeled down off the plane and towards the Japanese officials that waited for their arrival, tapping his finger on the armrest in annoyance as Feliciano warned him.
"Wheels, don't do anything stupid, capisce?"
The crippled Italian was not dumb; though it was spoken in the friendly tone that Feliciano often masked his impish desires behind, this was no friendly warning. It was if anything or for a lack of better terms, a threat. Behave, or he wouldn't like what would follow up afterwards. Sadly, Lovino was not one that cared too much, his lack of sleep and discomforting aches numbing his common logic.
"Shut the fuck up. Let's just get this shit over with and get me in a bed so I can at least stretch, bastard."
